Commercial Appeal: For Memphis football assistant and his wife, daughter's rare genetic disorder was a call to action

When Landrey Eargle hears the first notes of the Memphis football fight songs, it brings so much joy that she dances and stomps her feet.

She sits in a wheelchair, but she’ll move her arms like she’s at a concert. She loves Christian worship music, but hearing “Go Tigers Go” takes her to a similar happy place.

“At first you go, how many people are looking and then you go, that’s just Landrey,” said her father Joshua Eargle, a senior offensive consultant for the Tigers. “You just smile and laugh with her and know she’s having a blast.”
