You could search the world, but you might not find one as precious as our very first Hope’s Hero! Meet Hadley Whiteaker. At the age of three, Hadley suffered an anoxic brain injury due to respiratory distress and cardiac arrest as a result of a closed airway brought on by croup. Hadley has battled and her amazing parents have fought to find treatments locally, nationally and internationally, recently undergoing a month-long neural tissue engineering technology protocol. She has more intense inpatient physical therapy ahead that requires the family to travel frequently.
